Practice Policies
At ReConnect Therapeutic Associates, we want you to feel informed, supported, and confident in your care. The following policies help us maintain a professional, ethical, and respectful environment for everyone we serve.
🛡 Privacy & Confidentiality
Your privacy is important to us. All information shared in therapy is confidential and will not be released without your written permission, except in situations where we are legally required to do so—such as suspected abuse, neglect, or imminent risk of harm to yourself or others. We follow HIPAA guidelines to protect your personal health information.
📅 Appointments & Cancellations
We understand that life happens. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid a late cancellation fee. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments without notice, will be charged at the full session rate.
💳 Payment & Insurance
Payment is due at the time of service unless prior arrangements have been made. We accept cash, debit/credit cards, and HSA/FSA cards. If you are using insurance, we will bill your provider directly if we are in-network. For out-of-network clients, we can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.
💻 Telehealth Services
We offer secure telehealth sessions using HIPAA-compliant video platforms. You are responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection and a private, quiet space for your session. By using telehealth, you acknowledge and consent to receiving services via this method.
✍ Informed Consent
Before beginning therapy, we ask you to review an Informed Consent form. This explains the therapy process, possible benefits and risks, and your rights as a client. You are free to ask questions at any time and may discontinue therapy whenever you choose.
🚨 Emergencies & Crisis Support
ReConnect does not provide 24/7 crisis services. If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911, dial 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or go to your nearest emergency department. You may also contact local crisis hotlines for immediate support.
📞 Communication
You may contact your therapist by phone or secure message for non-urgent matters. We aim to respond within 24–48 business hours. Please note that email is not a secure form of communication and should not be used for sensitive information
📈 Attendance & Ending Services
We encourage consistent attendance for the best results. Services may be discontinued in cases of repeated no-shows, non-payment, or inappropriate conduct. You have the right to end therapy at any time and may request referrals for continued care.
📂 Records & Release of Information
We keep client records for the time period required by law. You may request a copy of your records or authorize their release to another provider by completing a written Release of Information form.
